This book is filled with typos and bad grammar, everywhere. I don't think this book was edited, certainly not proofread. I know most of these writers are in the same writers group as Martinez, but come on, at least run spell check and never turn in the first draft. Some pretty cool stories, but the errors destroy the mood.
Not up to A. Lee Martinez's regular stuff.
A decent collection of short stories by modern authors. Not all of them hit my spot but it's a good way to check out the new folks in town.
Not quite what I was expecting. Would have preferred a novel by A. Lee Martinez, but still fun little collection of stories.
I liked his Automatic Detective the best but also the Nameless Witch, and several other of his stories. Really fun reading from off the wall directions. I hope this guy gets rich. He sure brightens my week when the world is a really nasty place.
I liked the variety of stories in this collection. Wish there were more. A couple of new authors that I haven't heard of before. Will be looking them up.
The stories by Martinez and Conner were worth reading. The other stories were a waste of time. I've always liked reading Martinez and now I will check out Conner.
